Al-Ansab wetland has been extensively observed by resident and visiting birdwatchers over the past 20 years, the total species list is approximately 280 birds. The number of birds species on site changes throughout the year. For recently observed wildlife see Biodiversity.

Yes, we do organize tours with free guides.

Approximately 15 participants per guide

No, they don't. Haya water provide this service free of charge to visitors as part of our commitment to nature conservation and environmental education.

11. Can students do research or projects on site?

Yes, they can do research or projects in different areas in the wetland.

12. Can I volunteer in Al-Ansab wetland?

Yes, you are more than welcome to join us. You can do many useful things in the wetland: taking photograph, identify and monitor birds and help assist in managing the site. If you are interested please provide your contact details by email or phone the call centre.

13. Is Al-Ansab wetland providing equipment for bird-watching?

Yes, we can provide a limited range of binoculars and identification guides for hire.

14. Are there any catering services at Al-Ansab wetland?

Yes, there is a canteen in the operations building for breakfast and lunch.

Birds can take care of themselves, please do not feed them.

16. Can I shoot birds in Al-Ansab wetland?

No, you can't. It is prohibited by Omani Law.

17. Is eating allowed inside Al-Ansab wetland?

Yes but you must not leave any uneaten food or litter at the wetland.

Normally yes, but the wetland remains open during our opening hours, except during rainy day.
