Haya Water’s ability to provide increasing volumes of treated effluent reduces the pressure to use either scarce groundwater or desalinated water for irrigation and other purposes.

Thanks to the introduction of Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) technology we ensure the production of high quality and pollutant-free water to our customers ensuring that they receive a cost effective and plentiful supply of recycled supplies for all of their requirements.

In the longer term we anticipate using treated effluent for agricultural and other purposes away from the current primary use for irrigation of public parks, public green areas and golf courses.

Other use for treated effluent can also include dust control, backfilling on construction sites, in cooling towers and for manufacturing purposes.

As demand for water grows from individuals, families and the business sector – our treated effluent will play a vital role in ensuring an environmentally friendly source of water for Muscat.

This product is available directly through a treated effluent network to public parks and some other public areas or through our Green Tankers that transport it for watering lawns and other locations.
