ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To drive any  Haya heavy vehicle (includes Vacuum Tanker, Skip Loader and etc) to remove sewage, sludge, scum, waste and grit from different location of Sewerage Treatment Plant’s (STP), Pumping Station, culverts & manhole chambers & Haya facilities.
• Discharge removal sewage, sludge and scum to the STP’s or damping area   
• Responds to sewer flooding emergencies at any time of day or night, as directed.  Serves on-call for emergencies, as assigned.
• Top use hand for discharge sewage, lifting and fixing hose to in / out valves, connection of hose etc.
• To operate any or all Haya special equipments (includes Forklifts, Articulated Dumper, Heavy Hiab Truck and etc for carry out the duties of loading and offloading of material, chemicals, heavy equipments, ringing & slinging, transportation and as instructed by the direct supervisor.
• To ensure safe loading of material inside or on the vehicle by taken extra care and prevent damages / loss of goods / material during loading.
• To use all tools such as rope, slings, belt, chain, equipment and materials responsibly and performs basic inspection of them prior to use.
• To maintain the condition of the forklift and Hiab and report any malfunction / damages for immediate repair, service and maintenance. 
• Daily inspection of the heavy vehicle and special equipments against the checklist prior start daily the work.
• Perform work in a safe manner and observes all safety procedures.
• Use all tools, equipment and materials responsibly and performs basic inspection of them prior to use.
• Performing routine check on vehicles and equipment prior to use or start of work/ day.
• Lubricating vehicles and equipment, tightening bolts, washing trucks and equipment, and performing other routine equipment maintenance as assigned.
• Setting up work site with appropriate barricades, warning devices, and proper vehicle and equipment placement.
• Responsible to execute all the equipments operation and vehicles with safety and within the limit of the application and the equipment/vehicle
• Maintaining detailed record on work performance, as required in daily log book
• May be required to work during weekends and holiday

 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

• Completion of the Higher Secondary School. 
• Heavy Vehicle and special equipment driving license with at least 5 years experience in driving heavy trucks.
• Should be able to work in tough weather condition e.g. Extreme Hot & Cold climate.
• Should be able to work in shifts according to Operations plan of sewer collection as well as sludge/grit collection trips.
• Should have a defensive driving
• Should be a Muscat resident.
